Tell us about your work with seabirds.

For my honours research, I am investigating a mass mortality event that affected Thick-billed Murres in the North Atlantic in 2022. Right now, I am particularly interested in climate and anthropogenic factors impacting seabird populations.

What advice would you offer to individuals aspiring to pursue a career as seabird scientists?

Always be open to new opportunities, but make sure you take adequate time for yourself to rest so that you can actually appreciate them! Also that being unafraid to ask questions can open a lot of doors.
